What is DRAMS?

Efficient production of high-quality spirit requires the ability to effectively manage the movement and storage of maturing stock; a complex process which traditional ERP solutions are often ill equipped to address.

Integrating directly with your existing systems, DRAMS has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the maturing spirits industry. Bridging the gap between the requirements of warehousing, maturation and blending and the rest of the business – interfacing directly with standard business systems that deal with more generic business functions.

DRAMS enables spirit producers to optimise warehouse utilisation; track stock movements and maturation losses and gains; and make informed decisions in order to meet the market demands and production plans of not only today, but also the years to come. The DRAMS system’s unique flexibility ensures it can be adapted to meet the requirements of different spirit types, geographic regions and financial models. So, whether you are a producer of Whisky, Bourbon, Tequila, Rum, Port or Brandy, DRAMS can help to improve the efficiency of your operations, reducing operating costs and introducing controls that limit the potential for costly mistakes.

Wood Management

Simplify the management of a complex and valuable portfolio of casks and significantly improve the effectiveness of your cask curation processes. This module allows spirit producers to record the complete lifecycle of each individual barrel from order all the way through to end of life; recording significant events such as treatments and repairs and fillings and disgorgings. DRAMS Wood Management helps distillers ensure that the right casks are exactly where you need them, when you need them most.

Long-Term Planning

Meeting the demand of today and seizing the opportunities of tomorrow is a significant challenge given the inbuilt delay in production caused by that most vital element of the process; barrel maturation. The outputs of today’s distillation efforts must spend years in barrels ageing to perfection before being ready for market.

When external and internal influences disrupt this delicate balance, distillers must be able to react quickly to changing market stimulus in order to effectively plan for the future.

With DRAMS Long-Term Planning Module you can proactively adjust your production strategy to meet demand several decades ahead. This module allows spirit producers to generate a month-by-month view of spirit requirements, aligning projected demand and production levels against changing inventory levels. The reports included with this module allow distilleries to identify inventory shortages or surpluses, monitor warehousing capacity over time, proactively amend production plans and monitor fluctuations in blend production costs due to inventory restrictions.

DRAMScan & Print

Simplify the process of recording cask locations and movements with these two modules. DRAMScan allows you to improve the accuracy of information and overall warehouse efficiency with a simple ‘point and click’ method for the recording of barrel movements. Sitting along side this, DRAMSPrint module provides accurate barcode label printing direct from the DRAMS database enforcing consistent label formats and eliminates the time-consuming admin tasks associated with rectifying duplicate label errors or illegible formats.

Dry & Cased Goods

Track the production process from beginning to end with DRAMS Dry and Cased Goods modules as you track all materials goods to create a finalised product and maintain control over all cased stock. DRAMS Dry Goods module caters for everything from the ordering of materials right through to the dispatching of materials into the production process and accounts for wastage. While DRAMS Cased Goods module keeps sight of all finalised product, even in multi-location, multi-warehouse environments where stocks may belong to the holding company or customers.
